NewBo City Market provides the tools and mentorship that entrepreneurs need to run a successful business.

The Pilot Light program is designed to be a food safety education and business development program in partnership with Linn County Public Health. NewBo City Market will use the grant funds awarded by Linn County to cover the required food service licensure costs for entrepreneurs interested in opening catering or food processing businesses in the NewBo City Market Culinary Kitchen.

The Pilot Light Program includes:

• ServeSafe certification 

• Free kitchen licensure for your business

• Five free rentals of the culinary kitchen

• One-on-one business mentorship

This program will be most beneficial to businesses falling under the categories of catering, food processing, or restaurants. 

 

 

NewBo City Market has the capacity to help 10 entrepreneurs through The Pilot Light in 2023. Participants will be able to use our Culinary Kitchen up to 5 times through the 12 month food license period.
